Please join us for our February 2020 General Meeting. Our Speaker Series guest this month is California State Senator Jerry Hill.

 
 
Senator Hill will talk about the future of PG&E at our next General Meeting on Thursday, February 20th. We'll have our Social Half Hour at 7:00pm followed by remarks by our guest at 7:30pm.

Please note new location in San Mateo at the IBEW Local 617 Union Hall at 1701 Leslie St, San Mateo, CA 94402.

Senator Hill will highlight his perspective on the future of PG&E, what state discussions are being held about break-ups and/or restructuring the utility, and what actions the Senator would like to see going forward. After Senator Hill's remarks, there will be 10 minutes for questions and discussion. We hope to see you there!

Please join us for our March 2020 General Meeting. Our Speaker Series guest this month is KQED political reporter, Marisa Lagos. 

Marisa Lagos is a correspondent for KQED’s California Politics and Government Desk and co-hosts a weekly show and podcast, Political Breakdown. At KQED, Lagos conducts reporting, analysis and investigations into state, local and national politics for radio, TV and online. Previously, she worked for nine years at the San Francisco Chronicle covering San Francisco City Hall and state politics; and at the San Francisco Examiner and Los Angeles Times. She has won awards for her work investigating the 2017 wildfires and her ongoing coverage of criminal justice issues in California. 

 
 
Marisa will share her thoughts on the upcoming election at our next General Meeting on Thursday, March 19th. We'll have our Social Half Hour at 7:00pm followed by remarks by our guest at 7:30pm.

We look forward to hearing her break down what happened in the primary and what she anticipates will shape the outcome of the general election. She'll try to focus on state and local issues, but it will be hard to ignore the presidential race. We hope to see you there!
