It's Election time and the San Mateo County Democratic Party is hosting our Campaign Headquarters Grand Opening Event on Sept. 4!
Join us on September 4th at 6pm for the Grand Opening of our 2014 Campaign Headquarters located at 1328 El Camino Real in Belmont. We'll be joining with local elected Democratic Party officials, our San Mateo County Party members, and Democratic volunteers from all over the county for a Gubernatorial Debate Watch Party. Join us as we cheer on Governor Jerry Brown as he debates Neil Kashkari in the one and only debate in this election for governor. Find out all the details and RSVP information here and check out other great events on our Upcoming Events page.
Hope to see you there on Thursday!
Support the Headquarters
The San Mateo County Democratic Party is reaching out to our members and supporters who wish to financially support our efforts this fall. Opening and maintaining a campaign headquarters is expensive. Donations to support our headquarters and campaign efforts such as precinct walking and phone banking are more important than ever.
Donating is easy with our new online donation form. Follow this link to make a donation of any amount! Your support is greatly appreciated.
On the Ballot
There are numerous items on the ballot this year. For an overview of the elections in each San Mateo County community please visit the San Mateo County Elections Office Web site here.
For those interested in volunteering follow the link here and let us know and our coordinator will contact you.
California Democratic Party Endorsements
The July Executive Board Meeting of the California Democratic Party was held at the Oakland Marriott in City Center the weekend of July 11-13 in Oakland.
State Executive Board members voted on a number of endorsements for as many as seven statewide ballot measures that will affect a range of major policy areas including health insurance rates, malpractice awards, sentencing for certain offenders, Indian Gaming Compacts, state budgetary reserve policy and a major water infrastructure bond.
A full list of all of the CDP endorsements for partisan offices and the state ballot measures can be found at the CDP Web site here.

Voter Registration
In addition to working in support of Democratic candidates in advance of the June Primary Election, the San Mateo County Democratic Party is sponsoring a vigorous voter registration effort throughout the county.
The Party will continue to have booths at many events in local communities but will also train interested volunteers in doing voter registration at other public sites.
Interested volunteers should contact the Party here.
The election season ahead will be exciting and as always there remains much work to do as we prepare for the next elections in November.
We invite all San Mateo County Democrats to participate in upcoming events and efforts to keep San Mateo County blue.
