The San Mateo County Democratic Party is meeting on Thursday, September 06, 2018 at 7:00pm to vote on endorsements for the November 2018 election. Candidates seeking endorsement have already submitted their applications. The Endorsements Committee is meeting and interviewing those candidates. And this special meeting will see that committee submit their recommendations to the entire Central Committee for approval or modification. Candidates are not required to attend this meeting, though they are welcome. Only members of the Central Committee are able to speak on the matters of endorsement. Candidates seeking endorsement are not able to speak on their own behalf, though again, they are welcome.

It is our job to recruit, mentor, support, and elect good Democrats. And we take great pride in the large numbers of our endorsed candidates that are elected and measures passed. In addition, we like to get to know and build relationships with these individuals as they serve in these important elected positions. It is the backbone of why we exist as a County Democratic Party.
