Judy Schwiebert flipped her Arizona House seat for LD2 blue in 2020. She now is running for the district's Senate seat.

Rep. Schwiebert, a longtime teacher, has made it her mission to strengthen public education in Arizona. She is running to protect reproductive rights, water access, and the environment, while increasing good-paying jobs for Arizonans.

Arizona has evolved from reliably red to a state that has elected a Democratic Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General and two Democratic U.S. Senators in the last two cycles. With Judy’s win and one more, Democrats will take control of the Arizona Senate.

The Arizona legislature now is controlled by the most extreme far-right, MAGA supporters of all the battleground states, who very nearly implemented an 1864 abortion ban criminalizing all abortions from conception, except to save the life of the mother. They also came closer than any other state to subverting the 2020 Presidential election by replacing Arizona’s actual election results with their own (in fact, Rep. Schwiebert’s likely opponent, Shawnna Bolick, introduced legislation to put the election-stealing plan into effect.)
