The California Democratic Party will manage the endorsement of state and national legislators at local Assembly District Endorsement Meetings (ADEMs) this fall and at a second Democratic Convention in Sacramento in November.

Central Committee members, Assembly District Delegates (elected earlier this year), Democratic Club representatives, delegates appointed by legislators, and others will participate in the ADEMS. Candidates need to receive ⅔ of the votes to win the endorsement.

Central Committee members and delegates elected by the Central Committee will vote on the endorsement in close races at the convention. Senatorial and presidential endorsements will also be decided at the convention.

SMCDems Endorsements

SMCDems will be making endorsements in the county board of supervisor races. We will require all candidates seeking our endorsement to sign the Fossil Fuel Pledge, print it, and email it to [email protected].

Endorsement Calendar:
