The November General Election is on the horizon and the San Mateo County Democratic Party is preparing to open a campaign headquarters in September and we will need our friends and supporters for the work ahead in support of candidates running for local, state and federal offices.

The June 3 Primary Election is almost here and there are many candidates and measures to consider.
Below is a full roster of the candidates, measures and ballot propositions endorsed by the San Mateo County Democratic Party as well as those endorsed by the California Democratic Party.
For new voters or those interested in updating their registration the deadline to do so and still vote in the June 3 Primary Election is May 19, 2014. Registering to vote is easy and can be done online by voters holding a valid California Driver's License.

Dear Friends,
It has been a difficult few weeks for the Democratic Party in California with a third Democratic State Senator charged with serious crimes. In the wake of the recent arrest of Senator Leland Yee, a representative of San Mateo County, the State Senate has taken the extraordinary step of suspending Senator Yee, as well as Senators Rod Wright and Ron Calderon.
As Chair of the San Mateo County Democratic Party, I invite local Democrats to attend the April 17, 2014 General Meeting to discuss these recent events.
State Convention and Endorsements
Democrats throughout California gathered in Los Angeles the first weekend of March for the California Democratic Party State Convention.
The event was a lively and at times drama-filled event as numerous candidates vied for the endorsement of the CDP delegates in attendance.

Dear Friends:
The November General Election concludes on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. There are numerous Democratic Party candidates and many local measures on the ballot. If you have not yet cast your ballot there are few days remaining to do so.
Voters who have not mailed their voted ballots should can drop off ballots by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, at any of the following locations:
- 40 Tower Road, San Mateo;
- 555 County Center, Redwood City;
- Any open polling place in San Mateo County; or
- Any City Hall in San Mateo County during business hours.

Election season is in full swing and many Democratic Party candidates are running for seats in nearly every community in San Mateo County and numerous local measures in support of school districts and cities are on the ballot.
There is also a new website for the San Mateo County Democrats. And with elections coming up in November, we have a lot of work to do to make sure everyone is registered to vote.

It is now August and officially campaign season.
This year there will be over 20 city council and school board elections, with many of the races hotly contested.
